Flaminia Saccucci is a fashion designer with a specialization in textile design.

Born and raised in Rome, just steps from her favourite childhood haunt, the Gallery of Modern Art, she grew up immersing herself in the artwork of the European artists of the early XX century. Profoundly influenced by their work, when the time came to leave high school, her choice was clear: apply to Central Saint Martins in London.

With her Central Saint Martin’s Degree Collection, she won the 2011 L’Oréal Award. Bought in its entirety by Browns of London, the collection was then exhibited in their famous South Moulton Street windows.

The collection was photographed in magazines such as Vogue Italia, Vogue Deutsch, Vogue Brazil, Dazed & Confused and was also exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

Shortly afterwards, commissioned by Browns London, she designed a womenswear collection under her own name and moved to Paris to work full time at Givenchy as their womenswear print designer.

The same year, she was chosen by BOF founder and editor Imran Amed to be featured in Pattern, (pub: Phaidon Publishing). This book presents the world 100 most outstanding, contemporary young fashion designers selected by the field’s leading professionals.

In addition to her work at Givenchy, she has also worked as a print designer for many luxury houses including Dior, Versace and Mugler and, in the initial stages of her career, she was a design intern at Alexander McQueen, Balmain, Viktor & Rolf and Alberta Ferretti.

Additionally, over the years, Flaminia has carried out numerous bespoke projects and collaborations for private clientele. Among these was the Japanese chain store, Isetan where she designed, under her own name, a collection for their brand Menka.

Most recently, the designer has launched her own label.

Founded in 2020, Flaminia Saccucci® is a new, artistic clothing line, made entirely in Italy.

All the print artworks featured on the garments are Flaminia’s original, limited-edition creations.

In realising the prints, she use various techniques developed whilst working around the world: from artisanal hand painting through to digital manipulation and experimental multi-media applications.

The finest quality fabrics are then printed by the best technicians in Como and
manufactured in Varese, following the classic, Italian tradition of garment making.

Personally following every step: from conception through to production, Flaminia firmly believes in the importance of creating fine, long lasting pieces to wear and enjoy at length.
